Chapter 6 discusses how people learn and improve their performance at work or in other organizations.

For this discussion, think about a time when you had to learn something new. This could be at work, school, while volunteering, or in your personal life.

In your initial post, answer the following questions:

1. What was something new you had to learn?
2. How did you learn it? For example, did someone train you, did you practice, did you watch someone else, or did you learn by making mistakes?
3. Did feedback from another person help you improve? Why or why not?
4. What can supervisors, teachers, or leaders do to help people learn more effectively?

After posting your response, reply to at least two classmates. Your replies should be respectful and should add to the discussion. You may share something you have in common, ask a follow-up question, or comment on something interesting in their response.
